Enabling Provisions & Office of Registrar Legislation

The Intellectual Property (Enabling Provisions) Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2004 is the primary legislation for Guernsey intellectual property. The Law gives the States of Guernsey the power to enact other intellectual property laws by Ordinance. 

The Office of the Registrar is established by The Intellectual Property (Office of Registrar) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Ordinance, 2005. The Registrar acts in relation to all types of intellectual property in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
