Design Rights Forms & Fees
Any new International Design Right applications (under the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement) filed from the 1st January 2021, designating the UK will also be protected in Guernsey. This means that if an International Design Right is subsequently granted for any of these applications in the UK, protection will automatically be afforded in Guernsey without any need for applicants to re-register their UK design.
From the 1st April 2021 the UK is extending its application of the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement to include the Bailiwick of Guernsey
Note: Design right submissions may be made by the following persons:
Design right proprietors: If you are the proprietor of a registered design, you may make submissions directly to the Intellectual Property Office.
Agents: If you are acting on behalf of a design right proprietor (i.e. as their agent or representative), you must be a registered design right agent.
