Bailiwick Patent Agents Information
The Registered Patents and Biotechnological Inventions (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Regulations, 2012 require the Registrar of Intellectual Property to keep and maintain a register of approved patent attorneys. These are designated as 'Agents' by the Registrar for the purposes of representing applications to the Registry.
The published register details those agents that meet the requirements of these regulations and have been approved by the Registrar.
Please note: for 6 months with effect from 1 March 2012, transitional provisions apply which will enable Bailiwick Advocates to continue to make patent submissions without the need to be a registered patent agent. Please see the guidance note below for full details.
The document available to download below details how individuals/organisations can qualify to become a registered patent agent.
