History of IP Law in Guernsey
The primary law (a Project de Loi), 'The Intellectual Property (Enabling Provisions) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2004' was approved and ratified by Her Majesty the Queen, by and with advice of The Privy Council. The Law was registered on the Records of the Island of Guernsey on the 4th October 2004.
The Law has effect throughout the Bailiwick having been sanctioned in both Alderney and Sark.
The Intellectual Property Ordinances (secondary legislation) are enacted through the States of Guernsey under the primary Law.
