The Bailiwick of Guernsey Intellectual Property Office at the Guernsey Registry is pleased to provide general information in relation to intellectual property and public service information on intellectual property services relevant to the Islands of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm, Brechou & Jethou.
The Office is responsible for the administration of registration processes where relevant under the relevant laws. As such, we will provide guidance on application processes and services that are available through this office. When you are speaking to a member of the team, they will speak in general terms about processes or the services that you may wish to consider.For legal reasons they will not apply any of the processes, services or legislation to particular cases or circumstances that you may present to them. For advice in relation to specific cases, circumstances, ideas or applications, we will usually suggest to clients that they consider professional legal advice. As such a directory of legal professionals practicing in this jurisdiction can be found on the Guernsey Bar website. There are also other professional bodies and memberships for specialist intellectual property advisers and practitioners.
